If managers (OIMs and terminal managers, for example) could conduct
their own brief human error shutdown workshops they could save
the stress, hassle and considerable costs of unplanned shutdowns
on an platform, rigs or land-base sites.
Now they can!
After successfully assisting one North Sea operator to reduce
human error shutdowns by 50% over four platforms, Dr Bill Robb
of Profit Improvers would like to share his insights and expertise
with managers.
Until recently many people believed that there
was no way to reduce unplanned shutdowns."We are human and
we'll always make mistakes" , they say. That statement
is misleading. It would be better to say "Every human will
always have the potential to make mistakes but with training can
reduce the number of them".
During this one-day workshop you'll gain insight into why the
behavioural approach is so successful in reducing human error shutdowns.
In addition you'll know exactly how to select case studies and
write them in a way that maximises discussion and change.
A full schedule for the day is shown below. Maximum time will
be devoted to questions and discussion. We will actually do a workshop
within a workshop and stop at points to discuss then process. Extensive
detail will be given on the "hidden aspects" that make
these workshops a success. You'll also hear about some big mistakes
you could make and how to avoid them!
A disc containing electronic copies of guidelines
to set up and the handouts for the 3-hour workshop are included
so you can easily amend these to suit your organisation.
Since the workshops are offered on demand, please
