S5: Designing, scripting and production of safety DVDs and other materialsMost DVDs, e-learning courses, manuals and booklets could be made more effective by more concise wording, fewer graphics and getting to the main points more quickly. Often you can reduce a 12-page manual or procedure to 6 pages and a 30-minute DVD to 15 minutes, WITHOUT losing any valuable information. As skilled educator and writer, Dr Bill can advise on the most effective way to put across vital information.
S6: Strategic Safety – Building Safety Into The Business PlanHaving a three-year plan for safety development is solid proof that management is caring and serious about reaching and maintaining zero accidents and incidents. A plan makes safety an integral part of the business and that workshops and other training are not just a knee-jerk reactions to be done only when we have to. A safe operation is a profitable one.
